Since tragedy<br />struck us, we have, sorry to admit, tried many of them. Those ads with all the "wonder" stories target us vulnerable people who are desperate for any yeshua possible. <br />I've since learnt that it's the basics that count, a kapitel tehillim will probably accomplish the same results. (that is, whatever Hashem wants it to be).<br />Life is about believing that what Hashem does is good, though it doesn't always look that way to us. Our nisyonos are good for our neshamos to reach the tikkun we are sent to this world for. But we are human beings, and that pain can be unbearable. <br />You write:"My religion, my beliefs, my faith, are not about doing good things and your life will be great. It is about living your life, doing the right thing because it is the right thing to do." How eloquently you expressed this. You are correct. On the contrary, it often seems like bad things happen specifically to good people.
