chanukah, chanukah, chag yyafeh kol kach

Like I said in my last post, Chanukah is a big deal here. Channah had school today only (first day of chag) to celebrate at school and now she is off the rest of the time. There is stuff going on for kids every single day ranging from carnivals to movies to puppet shows to arts and crafts. All the toy stores had sales. It is like, well... Christmas morning I guess...

Anyhow, a few picturs from the first night

A picture of the "girls table" at dinner tonight (2nd night) where we had over some friends for shabbat leftovers and levivot (Lor brought sufganiyot as well... do you know they make them in chocolate here? Seriously, good for everyone you can only get them 3 weeks a year...) Each place setting had a piece of chanukah manot taped to a robbon as a napkin ring (Channah helped make them all). It was cute and fun. We showed the kids "Lights" and there were soem presents and the adults shmoozed (and drank) and a great time was had by all. You should join us next year!

Tomorrow we are going on the Nefesh B'Nefesh tiyul to Park Canada to "meet" the macabim and see how they made oil and then to the talk museum. Wednesday is a farily easy day. Thursday we are going to a drumming thing for Channah first tihng in the morning, then we are thinking of going to Casarea for the afternoon. Friday we are doing a walking tour in Jerusalem, then goign to meet old friends and family for Shabbat.

Busy busy busy!

That sounds like so much fun! Are the stores as nuts there as they are here?

I wont even go into a Walmart until after Christmas. I'm making all bean stuff until then so I can avoid all the crazies!

By the way, I love that her present was as big as she is!

You're more with it then me. I never remember pictures for Hanukkah stuff (or anything really...)
